Is your Android smartphone not ringing consistently when someone dials your Flo-One number, even when you’re connected to the internet? If so, you may need to check the below settings to ensure your smartphone is optimised to show push notifications for the Flo-One calling app.
Please do bear in mind that not all the settings below are applicable to all Android smartphones, the settings can vary depending on the Android version your smartphone is running.
Step 1: Make sure all of PulseHD permissions are granted #
Android Settings app > Apps & Notifications (depending on your device, this may look different) > PulseHD > App Permissions (depending on your device, this may look different) > Turn permissions on.
Step 2: Confirm PulseHD is enabled to work when ‘Do not disturb’ mode is on #
Android phone Settings app > Sound > Do not disturb > Disable.
Step 3: Check that PulseHD is excluded from battery optimization #
Android phone Settings > Apps > PulseHD > Set ‘Remove Permissions if app is unused’ to off.
Android phone Settings > Apps > PulseHD > Battery > set to ‘Unrestricted
Step 4: Enable background data #
Android phone Settings > Data usage > Cellular data usage > PulseHD > Background data > Enable Unrestricted data usage.
Step 5: Enable PulseHD to run in the background #
Android phone Settings > Apps > App Info > tap our app (PulseHD) > Battery > turn on the ‘Background activity’ option.
Android phone Settings > Data usage > Data saver > If data saver is disabled, stop here. If data saver is enabled go to Unrestricted data access > Enable PulseHD.
Step 6: Check Notification Behaviour #
Android Settings app > Apps & Notifications (depending on your device, this may look different) > PulseHD > Notifications (depending on your device, this may look different) > Incoming Calls > Enable Pop On Screen.
If you are still having issues, you may be able to find a Push Notification Fixer for your Android phone to test notification settings, alternatively, as a last resort, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
